An Email From Steve (Jobs)
// February 4th, 2010 // Apple, Emails, Hardware, Software, Tech, TechKnowledgey
Just a few weeks ago I had an issue with my Apple Wireless keyboard together with the new Magic Mouse. For some reason, the combination caused the batteries in the keyboard to drain within just 4-5 DAYS for many, many people. No one at Apple showed any signs of any fix being on the way, and so I decided to email no other than Steve Jobs himself.
I told him how this was very surprising from company like Apple and that they should have tested this more before they released it. Problems like these shouldn’t ever happen. (I also just told him that it’d be very cool if his name was in my inbox.) And then, lo-and-behold, I got an email back from Steve Jobs saying that he was sorry and a fix was coming soon! How cool is that?
From what I understand after looking into it a bit, there is a (large) possibility that it was just a very high-ranking tech support member who screens his emails that I got that response from, but Steve Jobs himself is known to get back to people like this… I guess we’ll never know for sure, but you gotta admit, it’s still pretty cool.
PLEASE NOTE: Apple has since fixed this issue with a software update for the keyboards not long after my email from “Steve”.
