Introduction
// October 15th, 2009 // Blog, Life, Reviews, Tech, TechKnowledgey
Yeah. I’ve finally done it. I started a blog. After all these years of being on the Internet and seeing and benefiting from what other people contributed, I decided I wanted a website of my own.
The truth is, I have really wanted my own blog since the first time I saw someone elses. Since then, it has always been something I have wanted to do, but never even thought about it… until now.
Of course, I wanted to come up with an good idea – a real reason for someone to come to my website, and watch my videos. Which is why I am starting a video series/show called TechKnowledgey.
TechKnowledgey is going to be a series of videos talking about and explaining different important subjects in technology. Each episode will really be jam-packed with information, interesting, an obviously try to “demistify” different important areas in technology. It will give you the information to make descisions on your own and to be a true expert on the topic. Plus, I’ve never been able to find one place with all the infromation you need on a subject. Sometimes there aren’t any at all. And even when there are thet are difficult to use and not user-friendly. TechKnowledgey is going to be an ever growing video “encyclopedia of knowledge”, giving you one place to learn everything you need to know about a topic.
One point I would like to make, TechKnowledgey was created with novices and tech-enthusiasts in mind. Really anyone will be able to learn a lot from these videos. They explain the basic background with tips and tricks that everyone should know. As well as “deeper” information with more complicated tips. I have been a tech geek for as ling as I can remember and have learned a lot of things over the years. For each episode I do a LOT of research, I am really looking forward to sharing it all with you.
I have always wanted to do something like this, and while each episode does require a lot of work, I really enjoy doing it. I love this stuff! It’s awesome to be able to actually have my own website to do this kind of thing now. I really hope it goes somehere :)!
Keep on the lookout for the first episode of TechKnowledgey to go live within the next few days at http://youtube.com/thedevirkahan(Unfortunatley, because I’m not a YouTube partner it will be uploaded in 3 seperate parts…)
Who knows? Down the road I may make some other shows, I have some good ideas. For now though it’s only TechKnowledgey and even if I do make other shows, TechKnowledgey will always be the main one – the others will just kind of be side shows.
Regardless, you can find all of my shows by heading over to shows.devirkahan.com.
True, this website is not 100% perfect. But I started this website with simplicity in mind. Down the road though, I will probably have to change things. But for now though, this is pretty darn close to being exactly what I wanted.
I put an incredible amount of work, thought, an stressful hours intothis website. Going into it, I knew next to nothing about codeing. To get the website how I wanted it though, I had to change some of the code. I actually taught myself a very minimal amount of codeing. Everything was very difficult, and as I said stressful, but for me to finally say that it is done (at least for now) is incredibly rewarding.
As I write this post, and probably for a little while after, there is not going to be a ton of content on this blog. Not because I don’t know what to blog about, just because it only started just a few days ago! Obviously the websites content will grow over time as I add more. So please, check back often and grow with me and my site.
I have always wanted to say something along the lines of this, and I’m really excited that I can:
Check back soon, and enjoy devirkahan.com!
